Political strategies for the protection of human rights often arise out of sectors within the very economic systems of international neoliberal capitalism that frequently degrade human rights for diverse profit motives. Structurally, the forms of neoliberal capitalism that were created after the Cold War promulgated numerous doctrines that included the goals of protecting human rights. For some analysts, these protections were merely a capitalist maneuver to acquiesce diverse proletariats away from revolutionary sentiments. For other scholars, backed by the ideology of the Chicago School, the protection of human rights within neoliberalism is part of a natural moral code that can be created with the fervent protection of free markets.
